The ArgDiaP steering committee wishes to express its support for the people of Ukraine and to condemn the indiscriminate aggression of the Russian military under the direction of Vladimir Putin. It is a fundamental principle of our work that disputes can and should be resolved through rational discourse: we believe in the power of arguments and reject the arguments of power. We take heart from the global revulsion at the violence unleashed by the Russian leadership and trust that the free world is united in its belief in persuasion through dialogue, not force. We are proud of the response of the people of Poland to this crisis and stand ready to offer whatever assistance we can to scholars in our field fleeing the war.
